Best AI Visibility Tools in 2026: 12 Platforms Compared on Real Cost Per Tracked Prompt
There is no single best tool. Otterly Lite and LLMConquer Starter both open at $29. LLMConquer Starter is the cheapest complete normalized row ($0.041 per prompt×engine×week). Semrush AI Toolkit is the add-on if you already pay for Semrush. Profound Growth is the self-serve multi-engine desk. Athena Essential is the only published free credit slice. Manual spreadsheets remain free and noisy.
CEO of LLMConquer; builds AI-visibility measurement for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews
LLMConquer builds an AI visibility tracker and appears in this table. We did not rank ourselves first. Every price below was read from the vendor’s public pricing page on the verification date. If a plan hides engines, prompt caps, or refresh frequency, the normalized cost is marked incomplete instead of guessed.
How we compared (and why price-per-month is the wrong number)
Monthly price next to a feature grid hides the buying question.
The question is: what does it cost to track a prompt on one engine, refreshed on a known cadence?
We use one formula on the published entry plan:
normalized cost = monthly USD ÷ (prompts included × engines included × refreshes per week)
A dash means at least one factor was not on the public page.
We do not convert EUR, we do not infer credits into prompts, and we do not use reviewer screenshots as the number.
Worked example — 50 prompts × 5 engines × daily
Daily is 7 refreshes per week.
LLMConquer Pro publishes 75 prompts, 5 engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Copilot), and daily runs at $79 per month. That load fits. Normalized on Pro is $79 ÷ (75 × 5 × 7) ≈ $0.030.
Otterly Standard publishes 100 prompts, 4 engines, daily, at $189 per month. It covers the prompt count and misses the fifth engine unless you buy an add-on. Normalized on the published four-engine plan is $189 ÷ (100 × 4 × 7) ≈ $0.068.
Profound publishes 100 prompts and 3 engines at $399 per month, daily. It cannot represent a 5-engine brief without Enterprise, which has no public price. We do not invent one.
Work access, rendering, entity, corpus, competitive, prompt-fit, and freshness in order. Most ChatGPT invisibility is a configuration problem, not a content problem.
Prices verified 2026-08-21. Recheck every 60 days. Normalized cost is USD per (included prompt × engine × refresh/week) on the published entry plan. A dash means a public page hid a factor — we did not guess.
Daily ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and AI Overviews at Starter
Quick picks by situation
Cheapest entry
Otterly Lite and LLMConquer Starter both list $29 per month.
Otterly includes Copilot at 15 prompts. LLMConquer Starter includes 25 prompts on four engines without Copilot.
Pick on prompt count, not the dollar.
Best mid-market
Among complete rows, LLMConquer Pro at $79 for 75 prompts and 5 daily engines is the lowest normalized mid-market plan we could compute.
Otterly Standard is the better published choice if you need 100 prompts, API, and MCP at four engines and can live without a fifth.
Best enterprise
Profound Enterprise and AthenaHQ Enterprise are sales-quoted.
Evertune Pro at $800 publishes 100,000 prompts across 11 models but not a single refresh rate, so it is not in the normalized ranking.
If you need SSO, custom engines, and a security review, start with those three — not a $29 row.
Best for agencies
Otterly publishes unlimited seats on Lite and an agency partner path on Standard/Premium.
Peec’s public page is built for brands and agencies; the HTML we fetched did not expose the dollar cards.
Do not buy LLMConquer Starter as an agency desk. It is one seat.
Best if you already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs
Semrush AI Toolkit is $99 per domain per month, 25 daily prompts, four engines, on semrush.com/pricing/ai.
Ahrefs Brand Radar starts at $199 per platform index. That is a research database, not the same product as a 25-prompt tracker. Use it if you already live in Ahrefs. Do not add it “because SEO.”
Best free option
AthenaHQ Essential publishes $25 of free credit and 300 credits. That is a trial slice, not a monitoring program.
Otherwise: a spreadsheet and a frozen prompt set. Free, and you will feel the variance immediately.
Profound
Pricing
Starter $99 per month (page also shows yearly “2 months free”). Growth $399. Enterprise custom. Source: tryprofound.com/pricing, 21 Aug 2026.
Engines tracked
Starter is ChatGPT only. Growth is ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Enterprise lists up to nine.
Standout
Daily frequency is on the public matrix. Growth is the first self-serve multi-engine plan.
Limitation
Starter’s normalized cost looks expensive because the denominator has one engine. Exports start at Growth. API is Enterprise.
Best for
Teams that will pay Growth or Enterprise for depth, not teams shopping a $29 pulse check.
Peec AI
Pricing
The official peec.ai/pricing page (fetched 21 Aug 2026) did not expose dollar amounts in HTML. We leave price as a dash.
Engines tracked
Three included models chosen at onboarding, from ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Perplexity, Gemini. Daily tracking is listed.
Standout
Agency and multi-country packaging is the public story.
Limitation
Without a published prompt cap and USD price, it cannot enter the normalized ranking. Third-party USD figures are not used here.
Best for
Buyers who will sit through the live price cards, then compare.
Otterly
Pricing
Lite $29, Standard $189, Premium $489 per month. Annual cards show $25 / $160 / $422. Source: otterly.ai/pricing, 21 Aug 2026.
Engines tracked
Four on every paid card: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot. Gemini, AI Mode, and Claude are add-ons.
Standout
Daily tracking and unlimited seats at Lite. The only $29 four-engine daily plan we could fully score besides LLMConquer’s different engine set.
Limitation
Lite is 15 prompts. A 50-prompt brief forces Standard.
Best for
Solo marketers who need Copilot in the base four, and agencies that want unlimited seats.
AthenaHQ
Pricing
Essential free (300 credits). Starter $295 per month with 3,600 credits. Enterprise custom. Source: athenahq.ai/plans, 21 Aug 2026.
Engines tracked
Starter lists ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok.
Standout
Action tools (optimization agent, integrations) sit next to monitoring.
Limitation
Credits are not prompts × refresh. Normalized cost is a dash on purpose.
Best for
Teams buying “do something about the gap,” not a cheap tracker.
Semrush AI Toolkit
Pricing
$99 per month per domain, billed annually on the public AI pricing page. Source: semrush.com/pricing/ai, 21 Aug 2026.
Engines tracked
ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, Perplexity. Daily rankings on 25 custom prompts.
Standout
Lives beside the SEO suite you may already pay for.
Limitation
$99 is an add-on shaped product. It is not cheaper than $29 standalone trackers if you do not already need Semrush.
Best for
Existing Semrush accounts adding AI rows to a report they already send.
Ahrefs Brand Radar
Pricing
$199 per month for one AI platform index, or $699 for all platforms, plus 2,500 custom-prompt checks on the public Brand Radar page. Source: ahrefs.com/brand-radar, 21 Aug 2026.
Engines tracked
Index products include AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity.
Standout
Hundreds of millions of indexed prompts. Instant lookup, not a queue you seed from scratch.
Limitation
This is not the same unit as “25 prompts you wrote.” Normalized cost is a dash.
Best for
Ahrefs shops that want category-scale research, not a starter tracker.
Scrunch
Pricing
Core $250 per month. Enterprise custom. Source: scrunch.com/pricing, 21 Aug 2026.
Engines tracked
Core: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AIO, Copilot. Enterprise expands to nine.
Standout
125 unique prompts and bot/agent traffic on the same Core card.
Limitation
Refresh frequency is unpublished. Normalized cost is a dash.
Best for
Teams that care how agents fetch the site, not only whether a model named them.
Evertune
Pricing
Pro $800 per month. Enterprise custom. Source: evertune.ai/pricing, 21 Aug 2026.
Engines tracked
Pro claims 100,000 prompts across 11 models.
Standout
They advertise 100 samples per prompt per model — a different philosophy from one daily draw.
Limitation
Frequency is “daily, weekly, or monthly.” We will not pick one for the formula.
Best for
Statistical programs and paid AI activation, not a $29 experiment.
Nightwatch
Pricing
Starter €79 per month on nightwatch.io/pricing, 21 Aug 2026. We do not convert EUR into the USD index.
Engines tracked
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overview. Starter lists 50 AI prompts.
Standout
Classic rank tracker plus AI prompts, unlimited seats.
Limitation
USD normalized cost is a dash because the page is EUR and refresh is not stated as weekly.
Best for
Agencies already in Nightwatch for Google ranks.
Writesonic
Pricing
Starter $79 per month billed annually (page also has monthly toggle). Basic $199. Growth $399. Source: writesonic.com/pricing, 21 Aug 2026.
Engines tracked
Starter: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews. 50 prompts, daily answers.
Standout
Articles and site audits sit on the same invoice as tracking.
Limitation
Three engines at entry. Perplexity and Copilot are not on the Starter card.
Best for
Content teams that will use the generation quota, not tracking-only buyers.
LLMrefs
Pricing
llmrefs.com/pricing did not return a readable table on 21 Aug 2026 (request timed out). Every cell is a dash.
Engines tracked
Not taken from reviews.
Standout
None we will claim from a third-party recap.
Limitation
Until the official page is readable again, it cannot sit in the ranking.
Best for
A revisit on the next 60-day refresh.
LLMConquer
Pricing
Starter $29 per month (25 prompts, 4 engines, daily). Pro $79 (75 prompts, 5 engines). Business $199 (500 prompts, 5 engines). Source: our published pricing, 21 Aug 2026.
Engines tracked
Starter: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews. Pro and Business add Microsoft Copilot.
Standout
Among complete public rows, Starter has the lowest normalized cost we computed ($0.041). Monitoring is subscription-included, not credit-metered.
Limitation
We built it. Discount that sentence. Starter is one seat and one competitor. Domain Audit and AI Research are Pro. We do not publish per-cell variance.
Best for
Teams that want a daily four-engine starter without a suite bill — after they accept the vendor is writing this paragraph.
What none of these tools do yet
They disagree on the same prompt.
None of them prove revenue attribution from an AI mention.
Non-English and multi-region coverage is still a higher-tier or custom conversation on most cards.
Yes. A frozen 30–50 prompt set, logged out, repeated weekly, is enough to see direction. A tool is for cadence across engines and citation domains. See our prompt-set guide before you buy anything.
How accurate are these tools?
No vendor has published a proven accuracy ranking. The same prompt can return a different vendor list ten minutes later. Treat dashboards as samples. Compare trends, not one-day percentages.
Why do two tools disagree?
Sampling rate, geography, login state, API versus live UI, and what counts as a mention all differ. We wrote the mechanism separately so this page can stay a price table.
Which engines matter most?
For most B2B teams in 2026 the first four are ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Gemini. Copilot matters if your buyers live in Microsoft 365. Extra engines are expensive on several plans and rarely change the first decision.
Do I need a tool if I am not enterprise?
Not on day one. Confirm you are actually invisible with a 10-prompt test. If you need daily multi-engine history, Starter-priced trackers exist. Enterprise packages are for SSO, custom engines, and sample sizes you cannot run by hand.
How often should this comparison be refreshed?
Every 60 days, or sooner if a vendor republishes tiers. A stale normalized cost is worse than a dash. The verification date is on the table.
A usable prompt set has 30–50 prompts, zero brand names in the core index, a frozen list, and more decision-stage questions than vanity branded queries.
The same prompt can return two answers ten minutes apart. Tools then diverge on sampling, geography, login state, provider path, and what they count as a mention. Compare trends, not one-day percentages.
